What is the pilot?

Every week during the pilot, we match you with another student you're genuinely compatible with. We do the work: choosing the match, booking the table at one of our venues, and sorting you a discount or a freebie. The date itself is self-funded.

This is your chance to be one of our first users and shape Campus Crush into something you actually want.

Who it's for

The pilot is open to students at universities across Melbourne: undergrad, masters or PhD, and every sexuality and gender identity. Our date venues are around Carlton for now, so you'll want to be able to get to one. A wider general launch comes after the pilot, so if you'd rather wait for that, join our waitlist and we'll email you when it opens.

How matching works

Once you join, our AI gets to know the real you through a proper conversation, not a checklist. Each week we run a weighted compatibility model across dozens of signals from that conversation and pair you with your strongest match in the pool. Then we tell you exactly why you matched.

The date itself

If you both accept, we plan everything: time, place, even an icebreaker. It's at one of our partner venues, with a discount or a free dish included:

The date itself is self-funded, so you and your match cover the bill.

Always go on the date

Once you've accepted a match, turn up. Even if the nerves kick in, even if you're not sure. Going on the date and telling us how it went is the single most valuable thing you can do in the pilot. Every bit of feedback, whether the date was great or a total misfire, feeds our matching algorithm and makes your next match sharper. Skip the date and we learn nothing, and neither do you.

Feedback shapes it

After each date, you'll tell us how the date went, what clicked, what didn't, who you'd want next. Once the pilot wraps up, you'll get a short form to give us feedback. Your responses genuinely decide what Campus Crush becomes at our general launch.

Cost and refunds

Joining costs $5, which holds your spot for the whole month. Because the pilot is limited, we can't promise everyone a perfect match, so come in open-minded. If we don't match you at all, you get a full refund.

What happens after you join

You'll get a text and an email when the pilot opens. Nothing else needed from you until then.
